Statement of Belief
- We believe that the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, was verbally inspired of God and is inerrant and is our only rule in matters of faith and practice (Matthew 1:22; 5:17; John 10:35, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20– 21).
- We believe in creation, not evolution; that man and woman were created by the direct act of God and in the image of God; we believe that life begins at conception where the only genders (male and female) are divinely predetermined (Genesis 1; Isaiah 45:12; John 1:3; Colossians 1:16; Hebrews 11:3).
- We believe that Adam and Eve, in yielding to the temptation of Satan, became fallen creatures (Genesis 3; Romans 5:12–21; 1 Corinthians 15:45–50).
- We believe that all men are born in sin (Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23; Romans 11:32; Galatians 3:22).
- We believe in the Incarnation (John 1:14; 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 1:2–3; 1 John 4:2), the Virgin Birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18–25; Luke 1:27, 34), the Deity of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (John 1:14; Romans 9:5; Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 1:8; 1 John 5:20).
- We believe in the vicarious and substitutional Atonement for the sins of mankind by the shedding of His blood on the cross (Matthew 8:17; 2 Corinthians 5:15; Galatians 3:13; 1 Thessalonians 5:10; 1 Timothy 2:6; Titus 2:14; Hebrews 2:9, 18; 1 Peter 2:23–25).
- We believe in the resurrection of His body from the tomb (Mark 8:31; Luke 24:2–3; John 11:2526; Acts 3:15; 4:33; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8, 14–21), His ascension to Heaven, and that He is now our Advocate (Mark 16:19; Acts 1:9–11; 1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 2:17; 1 John 2:1).
- We believe that He is personally coming again (Acts 1:10–11; John 14:3, 28; 1 Corinthians 15:51–53; Philippians 3:20–21; 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18; Titus 2:13).
- We believe in His power to save men from sin (John 1:12–13, 29; 3:16–17; 6:37, 44, 65; 17:6, 12, 24; Colossians 2:13; 1 Timothy 1:12–17; James 1:21).
- We believe in the necessity of the New Birth (Mark 2:17; John 3:6–13; 8:24; 14:6; Acts 4:12; 1 Corinthians 3:11; 1 Timothy 2:5), and that this New Birth is through the regeneration of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:1, 5; Titus 3:5–6).
- We believe that salvation is by grace through faith (Romans 3:24; 2 Corinthians 8:9; Ephesians 1:7; 2:4–5; 2:8–9; Hebrews 9:28; 10:10), plus nothing minus nothing (John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 6:10; 1 Corinthians 3:11; Colossians 2:9–10; 1 Timothy 2:5; Titus 3:5; Hebrews 10:118), in the atoning blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (Romans 5:9; Colossians 1:14; Hebrews 9:12–14; 13:12; 1 Peter 1:18–19; 1 John 1:7; Revelation 5:9; 7:14–15).
- We believe that God ordained marriage and family as the foundational institution of society. We further believe that the only Biblically sanctioned marriage is the public, monogamous union of one man and one woman that is intended for a lifetime and that any sexual activity outside of marriage is sinful and is detrimental to society (Genesis 2:22–24; Leviticus 18:22–23; Matthew 19:4–6; Mark 10:6–9; Romans 1:24–27; 1 Corinthians 5:1; 6:9; 7:1–16; Ephesians 5:22–33; Colossians 3:18–19; 1 Thessalonians 4:1–8; Hebrews 13:4).
- We believe in the Biblical doctrine of ecclesiastical separation, and therefore believe that churches and Christian schools shall not be members of or in agreement either with organizations or movements (such as the World Council of Churches and the National Council of Churches) which deny the fundamental doctrines found in this statement or with ecumenism which minimizes doctrinal distinctives. We further believe in the completed revelation of Scripture which allows neither for direct revelation from God today, nor for continuation of temporary New Testament sign gifts, such as visions, dreams, prophecies, healings or speaking in tongues, such as is practiced in the Charismatic movement (Acts 20:28–31; Romans 16:17; 1 Corinthians 13:8; 15:33; Ephesians 5:11; 2 Thessalonians 3:6–7; 3:10–15; 1 Timothy 6:3-5; 2 Timothy 3:1–17; 2 John 1:7–11).
- We believe that this doctrinal statement (statement of faith) is basic for Christian fellowship and that all born again men and women who sincerely accept it and are separated from the world of apostasy and sin can and should live together in peace, and that it is their Christian duty to promote harmony among the Believers (Psalm 133:1; 2 Corinthians 1:10; 2 Corinthians 6:14–7:1; Ephesians 4:11–13; Philippians 2:1–5; Colossians 3:13–15).
